Alter is conceived as a structural assemblage of symbolic elements. Conceived as a polyptych, it references the centuries-old panels of altarpieces in the history of painting.

This piece is crafted from solid ash, a wood chosen for the expressiveness of its grain. Two solid tabletops are placed and assembled on a double vertical base, connected by a leather band. Each table is stained using linseed oil pigments: this traditional process reveals and enhances the unique natural patterns of the wood, rather than masking them.
